Trekking outside this window is not recommended, as heavy winter snowfall blocks high passes (like Rinchen Zoe La) from November to May, making the route impassable and extremely dangerous.
Packages typically include permits, experienced guides, cooks, support staff, pack animals, camping equipment, meals, and the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF).
Do I need prior trekking experience for the Snowman Trek?
Due to its extreme difficulty and unpredictable weather, historically fewer than half of trekkers who attempt the Snowman Trek manage to complete it fully.
The trek crosses several passes above 5,000m, with the highest point, Rinchen Zoe La, reaching approximately 5,320 meters.
