The Sagala Trek, also known as the Haa to Paro Trek, is a scenic short trek in Bhutan that combines breathtaking Himalayan landscapes with cultural experiences. Day 01: Arrival in Paro | Acclimatization Distance: As per flight arrival transfer Driving Time: 20–30 minutes Altitude: 2,300 m (Paro)

Upon arrival at Paro Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and driver with a traditional khadar and welcome cake. Afterward, transfer to your hotel to relax and acclimatize. Later, explore Paro’s cultural treasures, including the National Museum, Rinpung Dzong, Drugyal Dzong (if time permits), and Kyichu Lhakhang. Finally, enjoy a delightful dinner at the hotel before a peaceful overnight stay.

After breakfast, begin your acclimatization hike to the iconic Taktshang Monastery, following a scenic trail through peaceful pine forests adorned with prayer flags. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the cliffside monastery. Upon reaching the sacred site, explore its spiritual surroundings before having lunch at the cafeteria or a local restaurant. Later, unwind with a traditional hot stone bath and, in the evening, experience a delightful farmhouse dinner before returning to your hotel

Along the way, take time to capture the serene beauty of nature. Finally, continue towards Ningula campsite, where you will spend the night surrounded by peaceful wilderness.

The difficulty level of the Sagala Trek?

Sagala Trek is considered a moderate-level trek suitable for trekkers with a reasonable level of fitness. The trail includes gradual climbs, mountain paths, and some steep sections, but no technical climbing is required.

The best seasons for Sagala Trek are March to May (spring) and September to November (autumn) when the weather is pleasant, skies are clear, and mountain views are at their best.

The Trek usually takes around 3–4 days, depending on the itinerary. The trek reaches high altitudes of approximately 3,500–4,000 meters, offering spectacular views of the Himalayan ranges.
