Day 1: Arrival at Paro International Airport (Altitude: 2,200m)

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, one of Asia’s most scenic airports, our representative will warmly receive you and provide a brief orientation about your journey. If flights are booked through us, we will try our best to arrange suitable seats for breathtaking Himalayan views during the flight. Later, explore Paro town and enjoy your first glimpse of Bhutanese culture. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.

Continue further to explore the monastery and learn about its spiritual significance from your guide. Begin your day drive towards Bhutan’s capital city, Thimphu. The journey passes through forests of fir, bamboo, and broadleaf trees, along with traditional villages and farmlands. Overall After breakfast at the campsite, begin your Trans Bhutan Trail adventure from the historic Chendebji Chorten. The trail takes you through peaceful pine forests, rural villages, and beautiful countryside landscapes. Follow the old East-West National Highway route before entering the traditional village areas. Enjoy a farmhouse lunch in Tangsibji village and experience authentic Bhutanese hospitality. Continue walking through landscapes dotted with hydroelectric projects, which contribute to Bhutan’s clean energy initiatives. Later, visit Trashi Choeling Lhakhang and explore Tsangkha village before reaching your campsite. Enjoy a warm shower, a delicious organic dinner, and a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

Today’s trail takes you towards Trongsa also one of Bhutan’s most historically significant districts and closely connected with the Bhutanese Royal Family. Begin with a short but rewarding climb through forests and traditional settlements before descending towards the Trongsa viewpoint, considered the geographical center of Bhutan. Enjoy spectacular views of the magnificent Trongsa Dzong, one of Bhutan’s largest and most impressive fortresses. Continue through the valley, crossing the old cantilever bridge over the Mangde River before ascending towards Trongsa Dzong through the historic western gate. Overnight stay at a hotel in Trongsa.

After breakfast, transfer to Bumthang Airport for your scenic domestic flight to Paro. Enjoy spectacular aerial views of Bhutan’s mountains and valleys during this short flight. Upon arrival in Paro, drive towards the peaceful Haa Valley via the beautiful Chele La Pass, one of Bhutan’s highest motorable passes at 3,988 meters. The journey offers stunning views of the Himalayan peaks, including Mount Jomolhari and Jichu Drake on clear days. In Haa Valley, visit the historic Lhakhang Karpo (White Temple) and Lhakhang Nagpo (Black Temple), two of the valley’s most important spiritual sites. After reaching Chele La Pass, take time to enjoy the stunning scenery before driving back towards Paro. After breakfast, begin your exploration of Paro Valley. Visit Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress built to protect Bhutan from invasions, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. Continue to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, known for its peaceful atmosphere, ancient murals, and beautiful gardens. Later, visit Dungtse Lhakhang, a unique three-story temple built in 1421 by the famous Tibetan saint Thangtong Gyalpo. Learn about Bhutan’s rich spiritual traditions, architecture, and history before returning to your hotel for your final night in Bhutan.
