Your Thimphu Adventure will begin with a visit to the Takin Preserve. The Motithang Takin Preserve is a wildlife reserve area for Takin, Bhutan’s national animal, and is located in the Motithang district of Thimphu, Bhutan. Originally a mini-zoo, it was turned into a preserve after it was discovered that even when released free, the animals refused to enter the surrounding forest.
You will then do an afternoon tour to Simply Bhutan, where you will have the option to try Archery shooting which is Bhutan’s national sport. Followed by a visit to the spectacular Trashichho Dzong where you will see the King of Bhutan’s official residence. You will then be back at the hotel in the evening.

Punakha was the historic capital of Bhutan until Thimphu took its position in 1967. Punakha is 80 kilometers from Thimphu and considerably warmer. Stop at Dochula Pass, where 108 tiny stupas have been built in memory of dead soldiers during the 2003 conflict. On a clear day, the Himalayan mountain range can also be seen.
Continue on to the fertility temple, also known as Chimi Lhakhang, which was created to commemorate the Himalayan divine lunatic. Then, At the hotel for the evening.

We’ll hike the beautiful Khamsum yulley Namgyel monastery before travelling to Gangtey. The journey takes you over the longest suspension bridge. Queen Mother constructed the temple in 2004. One of the highlights of the visit is the breathtaking view of the Punakha valley from the monastery.
Visit Gangtye monastery, one of the most important Nyingmapas monasteries in Buddhism. Gangtey also offers a two-hour hiking trail that runs from the monastery to the hotel. Then, Dinner will be served at the hotel.

Visit the Black Necked Crane Information Center before departing for Paro. The center informs you about the arrival of the cranes and their activities. Gangtey is 5 hours away from Paro. When you arrive in Paro, pay a visit to the Drugyel Dzong, which was newly rebuilt after being devastated by fire. Then,at the hotel in the evening.

Haa is a small district in Bhutan’s western region that has lately opened to tourists. Chelela pass is 68 kilometers from Paro (4800m). From Paro to Haa, the journey takes about 3 hours. Visit the monastery at Haa and take a walk through the valley. Then, spend the evening at the hotel.

Begin your travel from Haa to Paro early in the morning, following the same route. After arriving at the Chelela Pass, a 15-minute trek towards the mountain will give you a sight of the sky burials that the locals use to bury tiny children under the age of six.
The hike begins in Chelela pass and leads to Kili Goenpa. The hike takes about 2 hours and takes place in pinewood woodland. Around 100 nuns live in the temple. At the end of the hiking trail, our driver will meet you. Then, you will drive to Paro and spend the night there.
