Day 1Arrival at Paro International Airport and drive to Thimphu

Upon arrival our team will receive you at the airport. Its a customary for Bhutanese to receive any guest with white scarf. The scarf is sign for respect and used for promotion, welcoming guest and ceremonies like Birthday Party, Wedding and baby shower etc. Upon receiving you you will be briefed about the tour program by the guide who will accompany you throughout your stay in Bhutan . The drive takes about 1 hour from Paro to capital city. Enroute visit  Tachog Lhakhang which is 30 minutes drive from Airport and located on a small hilltop across Paro river. At Thimphu, visit National Memorial chorten, Takin Preservation Center and Buddha Dordenma Statue.

Day 2Attend Matsutake Festival Tour in Genekha

After breakfast, drive to Genekha. Genekha is about 1-hour drive from Thimphu. Genekha is also a popular starting point of Dagala Trek. You will spend the whole day at Genekha and enjoy the varieties of Mushrooms displayed. Huge matsutake is exported to Japan from Bhutan.

Day 3Thimphu to Punakha Tour

After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Punakha. On the way stop at Dochula Pass which offers a breathtaking blend of natural beauty and rich cultural heritage. Upon arrival, visit Chimi Lhakhang  also known as Fertility Temple. Explore the longest suspension bridge, followed by a visit to the majestic Punakha Dzong. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4Punakha to Paro

Begin your scenic 4-5 hour drive to Paro, passing through Dochu La Pass (3,100 meters). Enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks if the weather is clear. At Paro, Taa Dzong and  Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress offering stunning views of Paro Valley and later in the evening, take a leisurely walk through Paro Town, exploring local shops and handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 5Paro Tiger Nest Hike

Embark on a hike to the iconic Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched dramatically on a cliffside. The hike takes approximately 5-6 hours round trip. It  is one of Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred landmarks, dramatically perched on a cliff in the Paro Valley. Hiking to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery is an awe-inspiring experience, offering both spiritual depth and breathtaking views.

Later explore the Drukgyel Dzong, a historic fortress with views of Mount Jomolhari and visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
