Bhutan First Class Vacation Itinerary

Day 01Arrival Paro from your international destination and then drive to Thimphu:

Upon your arrival at Paro Airport, our tour guide will warmly welcome you with a traditional khaddar greeting. You’ll then be driven through the scenic Paro Valley to Thimphu. En route, visit Tachog Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries. Upon reaching Thimphu, check in to your hotel and take some time to rest.

Later, head to a local restaurant in town for lunch. Afterward, enjoy a visit to Simply Bhutan for a live cultural experience, followed by a leisurely stroll through Thimphu Town and the iconic Thimphu Clock Tower in the town center. In the evening, return to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2Thimphu Sightseeing

Your day starts with a visit to Buddha Point for stunning panoramic views, followed by a stop at the Memorial Chorten. In the afternoon, head to the Takin Preservation Center for a short hike along the scenic walking trail. Next, visit the Postal Museum, where you can design your own stamps. Afterwards, explore the Craft Bazaar, where you can shop for traditional Bhutanese attire and souvenirs. In the evening, return to your hotel to relax and unwind.

Day 3Thimphu to Paro:

Before heading to Paro, stop at Dochula Pass, a must-see spot for travelers journeying between Punakha and Thimphu. Take some time for a photo session and enjoy a tea and snack break. Afterward, continue your drive to Paro via the old Thimphu highway. Upon arrival, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a temple believed to fulfill prayers and wishes. Next, head to the Paro Airport viewpoint, a popular spot where people gather to bid farewell to loved ones. Finally, drive to your hotel and prepare for tomorrow’s excursion to Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Day 4Paro Tiger Nest Hike:

Begin your day with a memorable visit to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Temple. This sacred site, originally a 16th-century meditation cave, has drawn pilgrims for almost 500 years. After suffering extensive fire damage in 1998, it was meticulously restored at a cost of around 135 million ngultrums, and in 2005, it was reopened to reveal its original beauty.

Following lunch, delve into Bhutan’s history at the Paro Dzong, a stunning fortress that commands the valley’s attention. Cross the picturesque cantilever wooden bridge, a traditional structure steeped in culture. In the evening, enjoy a delightful dinner at a local homestay, complete with a soothing hot stone bath. Afterward, retreat to your hotel to relax and rejuvenate for the next day’s adventures.

Day 5Paro drop off:

On your final day, our team will accompany you to the airport for your departure.
