Day 1Arrival at Paro International Airport and then drive to Thimphu

The flight to Bhutan brings you close to the majestic Himalayas, offering stunning views of some of the world’s highest glacial peaks. As you descend into Paro Valley, you’ll glide over forested hills with the silver-blue Pa Chu (Paro River) winding gracefully below. Our guide and driver will warmly welcome you at the airport and, following a brief reception, escort you along the scenic Paro River en route to Thimphu. Along the way, enjoy a visit to Isuana Park and the historic Tachog Lhakhang. Upon arrival in Thimphu, settle into your hotel and enjoy some well-deserved rest.

Day 2Attend the first day of Rhododendron Festival

After breakfast, drive to Lam Pelri Botanical Park to join the Rhododendron Festival. Stop at Dochula Pass for a photo session, capturing stunning mountain views, before continuing to the park. Immerse yourself in the park’s vibrant beauty, with opportunities to stroll through the gardens or participate in the cultural festivities. In the evening, return to Thimphu for an overnight stay.

Day 3Thimphu Sightseeing

Begin the day with a visit to Buddha Point, followed by the Memorial Chorten. Next, head to Changyul Park, located just below the flyover bridge on the Changzamto Highway. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then continue to Sangay Viewpoint for a scenic panorama of Thimphu. Afterwards, visit the Takin Zoo to see Bhutan’s national animal, and end the day at Simply Bhutan for a live cultural program. Dinner will be served back at your hotel.

Day 4Thimphu to Punakha to Paro

After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Punakha. Upon arrival, explore the longest suspension bridge, followed by a visit to the majestic Punakha Dzong. Enjoy lunch in Punakha, then start your return journey to Paro via Thimphu. Once in Paro, check in to your hotel and prepare for tomorrow’s excursion to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

Day 5Paro Tiger Nest Hike

The Tiger’s Nest, or Paro Taktsang, is one of Bhutan’s most iconic and sacred landmarks, dramatically perched on a cliff in the Paro Valley. Hiking to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery is an awe-inspiring experience, offering both spiritual depth and breathtaking views.

The trail begins at the mountain’s base, leading you through lush pine forests and colorful rhododendron groves. As you ascend, prayer flags flutter in the breeze, enhancing the peaceful atmosphere. Though well-maintained, the trail includes some steep sections, so sturdy footwear is recommended.

Day 6Paro Airport to see Off

Your journey through Bhutan comes to an end as the Rhododendron Festival tour concludes. Our guide and driver will warmly see you off at the airport, bidding you farewell until next time.
