Day 01Arrival Paro from your international destination:

Upon your arrival at Paro Airport, our tour guide will welcome you with a traditional khaddar greeting. You’ll then travel to Thimphu, where you’ll check into Hotel Le Meridien. We haven’t scheduled any activities for the day, so you’re free to explore Thimphu on your own; the city center is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. We recommend taking it easy for the rest of the day to acclimate to the high altitude and avoid any potential symptoms of acute mountain sickness.

Day 2Thimphu tour

Your day begins with a visit to the Royal Textile Museum, located near Bhutan’s National Library and operated by the National Commission for Cultural Affairs. The museum aims to become a hub for textile studies and research and showcases unique, antique textile artifacts exclusive to Bhutan—a fascinating spot for honeymoon couples to explore together.

In the afternoon, you’ll head to the Craft Bazaar, where you can purchase traditional Bhutanese attire or souvenirs. Later, you’ll return to the hotel for some relaxation. If you’re visiting in the autumn, don’t miss the grand Thimphu Festival, a vibrant cultural celebration.

Day 3Thimphu to Punakha

Your tour begins with a visit to Dochula Pass, where, on a clear day, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the snowcapped Himalayan ranges. It’s the perfect spot to capture romantic selfies with the majestic mountains as your backdrop. From there, you’ll continue to Chimi Lhakhang, known as the Fertility Temple. This sacred site is where locals often come to pray for children, and it holds a special significance for couples hoping to start a family.

After the day’s excursions, you’ll return to your hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 4Punakha to Paro:

In the evening, return to your hotel to relax.

Day 5Paro Tiger Nest Hike:

Your remarkable excursion to the iconic Tiger’s Nest Temple is scheduled for the morning. Originally established as a meditation cave in the 16th century, this sacred site was continuously visited for nearly 500 years until it was damaged by fire on April 19, 1998. Restoration efforts, costing approximately 135 million ngultrums, were completed in 2005 to return it to its former glory.

After lunch, you’ll visit the historic Paro Dzong and cross the traditional cantilever wooden bridge. In the evening, unwind back at your hotel.

Day 6Paro Sightseeing

Paro, one of the most fertile valleys in western Bhutan, is the only district in the country with an international airport. Begin your day with a visit to the renowned Drukgyal Dzong, also known as the Victory Dzong. Although partially destroyed by fire in the early 1950s, Drukgyal Dzong remains an iconic site and is listed on Bhutan’s tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage status. On your return, stop at the 6th-century Kyichu Temple, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred sites. In the evening, settle in for an overnight stay at your hotel. If your visit aligns with the Spring Festival of Paro, you can enjoy this vibrant celebration as well.
