Day 1Arrival at Paro International Airport 2200M

Arrive at Paro Airport, where your flight to Bhutan offers one of the most scenic mountain journeys, captivating visitors with breathtaking views. Once you land, the refreshing mountain air and panoramic views of villages and mountains will greet you. The visa process is quick, and once completed, our team will assist you through the airport and guide you on a Paro city tour. Visit notable sights like Drugyel Dzong, the 6th-century Kichu Temple, and end the day with a relaxing evening at your hotel.

Day 4Thimphu to Punakha

We begin the day early, trekking towards Thathangka. The trail follows the river through dense forests, passing isolated farmhouses along the way. As the path narrows, it winds up and down through the drainage. We’ll also cross a junction where a path leads north to Tibet via the Tremo La pass. Our camp for the night is set in a meadow with a stone shelter.

Day 5Thathangka to Jangothang | Third day of the Trek | Distance 17km | Walking time 5-6hours | Altitude 4080M.

Today, we begin our trek from Thathangka. After passing a small army post in the morning, the trail gradually ascends, leaving the forest line and entering a picturesque valley. Along the way, we pass Tegethang, a winter settlement for yak herders, where we’ll stop for lunch in one of the huts. Today, we’ll encounter many yaks as we continue towards Jomolhari Base Camp (4,115 m). The camp is surrounded by towering mountains, and nearby, we’ll see the ruins of an ancient fortress that once protected Bhutan from Tibetan invasions.

Day 6Jangothang Halt and attend Jumolhari Mountain festival | Fourth day of the Trek | Altitude 4080M

Take in the breathtaking views of Jomolhari Mountain and enjoy a day of relaxation. The area is also home to the elusive and graceful snow leopard, an endangered species that thrives in this region. The presence of this rare cat has been confirmed through camera trap photos and other signs, making this area one of the best habitats for snow leopards in Bhutan.

Day 7Jumolhari Mountain Festival | Fifth day of the Trek | Altitude 4080M.

Spend the entire day enjoying the mountain festival. The celebrations will feature traditional mask dances, with participants from government offices, local communities, and nearby villages joining in the festivities.

Day 8Jangothang to Shana | Sixth day of the Trek | Distance 18km | Walking time 5-6hours | Altitude 2800M.

We begin early for a challenging 8-hour trek from Jangothang to Shana, navigating a strenuous but rewarding route.

Day 9Shana to Paro | Last day of the trek | Distance 17km | Walking time 5-6 hours | Altitude 2300M.

Today’s trek is a 4-hour walk from Shana to Drugyel Dzong. Upon reaching the road point, our team will be waiting to transport you by car to your hotel in Paro, where you can relax and reflect on your adventure.

Today, enjoy a city tour of Paro. Visit a traditional farmhouse, explore the weekend market, and shop for authentic handicrafts. In the evening, unwind with a relaxing hot stone bath.

Day 2Hike to Paro Taktshang | Acclamatisation Distance 12KM | Time Taken 5 Hours

Embark on the Paro Tiger’s Nest hike, a rewarding trek to one of Bhutan’s most iconic sites. The hike will take up most of your day, but the stunning views and spiritual experience at the temple make it truly unforgettable. In the afternoon, if time permits, we will visit Taa Dzong, Bhutan’s only museum. This museum houses a rich collection of artifacts dating back to the first King of Bhutan, along with other significant historical treasures.

Day 11Drop at Airport and See Off. Altitude 2300M.

Today marks the end of your Bhutan tour. Our team will accompany you to the airport and assist with your departure. We recommend arriving at the airport 3 hours before your flight to allow time for any last-minute changes.
