Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide. Enjoy a scenic drive to Thimphu, Bhutan’s charming capital, following the beautiful Paro and Wang Chhu rivers. If time permits, visit the Buddha Dordenma, Memorial Chorten, and explore the lively Craft Bazaar before checking into your hotel for an overnight stay.
 Spend the day exploring the cultural treasures of Thimphu. Visit the impressive Tashichho Dzong, the National Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma.
In the afternoon visit Motithang Takin Preserve, and the Traditional Arts & Crafts School. In the evening, stroll through the local market and experience the unique blend of tradition and modern life.

After breakfast, drive towards the picturesque Punakha Valley via the breathtaking Dochula Pass (3,100m), offering spectacular Himalayan views on clear days. Visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong, beautifully located between two rivers, followed by a walk across the famous Punakha Suspension Bridge. Overnight in Punakha.

After breakfast, drive back to Paro through scenic mountain landscapes. Enroute, stop at Simtokha Dzong before continuing to Paro. Upon arrival, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples, followed by a walk through Paro town where you can browse local handicrafts and cafés. Overnight in Paro.

Day 6: Departure
After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to Paro International Airport for your onward journey. Depart with unforgettable memories of Bhutan’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and the remarkable experience of the Paro Tshechu Festival.
The festival is celebrated annually according to the Bhutanese lunar calendar, usually during March or April. Dates vary each year. For 2027 the festival is scheduled from 18th to 22nd March.
Photography is permitted in most outdoor areas of the festival. However, some religious ceremonies or temple interiors may prohibit photography. Always follow your guide’s instructions
